The rook and faux rook piercings are based on anatomy. The rook piercing features jewelry that returns to the front of the ear (traveling vertically), while the faux rook exits at the back of the ear.

This placement for these are above the daith, but not all ears can support this piercing. 

During your piercing appointment, your piercer will evaluate your anatomy to determine the most appropriate style of jewelry or piercing for you.
